The Occoneechee Council of Scouts BSA is pleased to collaborate with the North Carolina Forestry Association (NCFA) again to offer the Forestry Merit Badge.
In order to accommodate COVID safety regulations we will host this event both online and in-person.
Scouts will learn from qualified industry professionals to explore forests, identify different type of trees, about forest products, and about the benefits of forests for humankind.
Attendance at both events is not mandatory but Scouts must attend both portions to earn the Merit Badge:
- Part I will be virtual from 6-8pm on May 20, 2021.
- Part II will be in-person on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Neal Middle School, 201 Baptist Road, Durham, NC 27704. Scouts will sign up for a one-hour time slot between 9am and 12pm. Scouts can depart when they finish the requirements for the in-person portion.
