About BALOO training: This is the Cub Scout leader training required for any Cub Scout Den or Pack outdoor event, including pack camping overnighters and Webelos den overnighters.
BALOO training is comprised of two components—an online component and a practical, hands-on component. Both components must be completed to qualify as a “TRAINED” Cub Scout outdoor leader.

Who? CUB SCOUT LEADERS, PARENTS, PACK COMMITTEE MEMBERS
Why? This day-and-a-half course will give you the information, training and experience to lead a safe and fun camping trip for your Cub Scouts and Webelos.
NOTE: One BALOO-Trained adult MUST attend each pack camping trip.
Topics Covered include: Campout Planning, Health & Safety, Cooking Safety, Camping Equipment, Woods Tools, & Lots More
Cost: $35.00 — Includes meals (Friday cracker barrel, Saturday breakfast & lunch), snacks, course materials and an overnight camping experience.
Refunds through close of Registration
There is an on-line pre-requisite that must be completed prior to attending. Log onto my.scouting.org and navigate to the BSA Learning Center. The required BALOO training is under the “Expanded Learning” section. Please print your certificate and bring it along to training.
