About BALOO training: This is the Cub Scout leader training required for any Cub Scout Den or Pack outdoor event, including pack camping overnighters and Webelos den overnighters.
BALOO training is comprised of three components: an online component, a mandatory Zoom meeting, and a practical, hands-on component. All components must be completed to qualify as a “TRAINED” Cub Scout outdoor leader.

Who? CUB SCOUT LEADERS, PARENTS, PACK COMMITTEE MEMBERS
Why? This day-and-a-half course will give you the information, training, and experience to lead a safe and fun camping trip for your Cub Scouts.
NOTE: Cub Scout Packs, Webelos dens and Arrow of Light dens / patrols, who camp overnight, must have a BALOO trained leader present. BALOO is recommended for all Cub Scout leaders who go camping with Cub Scouts.

$37.00 — Includes meals (Friday cracker barrel, Saturday breakfast & lunch), snacks, course materials and an overnight camping experience.

There is an on-line pre-requisite that must be completed prior to attending. Log onto my.scouting.org and navigate to the BSA Learning Center. The required BALOO training is under the “Expanded Learning” section. Please send the course director a message, when this has been completed.
