District Annual Planning Meeting @ Westminster Presbyterian Church

The District Annual Planning meeting has been moved to the morning of Saturday, March 25, 2023.

Why we do this

In a district the size of Eno River, having an annual plan is critical for the district.  We’re a team of 63 people organized into at least 25 different committees/event teams.  Our team supports 67 units led by over 700 adult volunteers.  Those 67 units have over 1,600 scouts.

Most of us talk for just a few minutes a month – at a committee meeting, at an event, an email, a phone call or two.  This session is an opportunity for us to meet as a team, align our goals and activities, and set the framework for what we want to accomplish in the year to come.

Meeting details:
  • Date: Saturday, March 25
  • Time: 8:30 – 11:30 am
  • Location: this meeting will be in-person at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Durham, 3639 Old Chapel Hill Rd, Durham, NC 27707. Westminster has good internet access and so I will try to arrange a remote Zoom link for anyone who cannot attend in person.  Please really do try to join in live if you can.  We don’t meet in person all that often and this is a good opportunity for some face-to-face interaction.
  • Invitees: All district level team members

Should you attend?

A question people often ask is – who should attend?  The short answer is – all district volunteers should.

Though we each focus on one part of Scouting, we all have a wide network of contacts, a broad perspective on how Eno River Scouting impacts units, and a breadth of different experience both inside and outside Scouting.  As we work through our planning session, your wisdom and experience is valued and appreciated.
